Fourgeres – on route to Chateau gontier
The first night was spent at a place called Chateau Gontier just outside Le Mans. A beautiful spot by the river recommended by Sean. My tank full of greasy kebab juice was only half depleted and everything was going great. I set up camp and cooked jumbo prawn curry using leftovers I bought from UK. Weather was beautiful, so was the spot (thanks Sean). Peaceful... birds singing... and then...
Boom.. boom... No sooner had I finished dinner (about 9pm) than loud booming music emanated from a spot about 200 yards up stream where a group of guys had set up tents and were fishing. I put my ears plugs and snuggled up in my roof tent. Its was warm.. cosy, and I couldn’t hear music. exhausted, I was asleep in seconds.
